Wreath Party!

I am linked up to a wreath party at http://www.keepnthesunnyside.blogspot.com/ !  I made this wreath for my front door several years ago with my mom and Tina.  It was easy and just  fraction of the cost for what you would pay to buy one already made!  We purchased a big grapevine wreath at Walmart - with matching flowers and pumpkins that we all liked.  Then we hot glued everything in place and added a cute fall bow. We spent around $30 for all three wreaths!  Last year I purchased the pumpkin sign at the Prairie Peddler Festival and hung it in the middle of my wreath.

A little bit of fall....

My newly painted front door!

Today after cleaning for a while, I decided to sneak out a couple of fall items.  Then I decided my dull tan front door needed to be spray painted burgundy wine before fall and this is the end result.  I love it!!  It matches our outside siding where our garage door was and now I just need to do our shutters!  I am so ready for fall :)

What I'm loving today....

Today I am loving......

1.)  A little girl snuggled up beside me taking an afternoon nap.....

2.)  A rainy afternoon.....with thunder rumbleing outside....

3.)  The fact that next month I can get out all of my fall decorations!  I so love fall and am looking forward to cool crisp days, pumpkin patches, apply picking, pumpkin pies, apple cider, hayrides, hot tea, crunchy leaves....until then I want to enjoy every bit of summer...

4.)  Tomorrow our AC will hopefully be fixed and then we can spend the afternoon at the beach....

A lunch date and playing at the park...

Today we got up, ready and went to take daddy lunch.  The girls put on "princess" dresses for their lunch and we picked up subway to take to daddy.  After having lunch....which turned out to be just a couple minutes of daddy time....we headed to Mt. Gilead park.  We played at the park for quite awhile and headed out for ice cream.  After ice cream we stopped by Mt. Gilead State Park to check it out and play on their playground.  On the way home we decided to stop and buy daddy another pear tree for Fathers Day.

Memorial Weekend 2010

Memorial Weekend started with Ashley's softball game and then we went to Lake Erie.  We stayed at a little hotel on the beach which we love because we have a little slick of semi private beach and can have beach bonfires at night.  We had a great time, we arrived on Saturday and played at the beach and had a bonfire Saturday night.  Sunday we decided to make a big breakfast - fruit pancakes and omelets then headed out to explore.  We went to Huron to find the pier..  We first found a little older couple who had caught 5 large fish for supper.....we saw a snake and huge dead fish.  Then we headed back farther to the pier....we decided to walk the WHOLE pier with the kids all the way out to the lighthouse.  It ended up being a vary long hot walk but it was fun.  We found a "cotton" tree and Ashley and Hailey had fun picking the "fluff" off the trees.  On the way back a Blue Heron caught a fish and ate it on the walkway behind us.  We decided to grab some food and head to Marblehead lighthouse for a picnic.  The lighthouse and water were beautiful!  When we got back to our beach we had another bonfire, Hailey and Ashley made a little friend, and we had more smores.  Poey decided to roast a whole fork of marshmellows, once he caught them on fire he decided to see how far he could throw them....   across the beach.....  It was such a great weekend of beach, water, exploring, sparklers, smores and fun!

Softball pics and more....

Today was a busy full day.  We had Ashley's softball pictures and then Brits track meet.  Home for awhile then Brit had a party and we had our date night.  We went to dinner with Dave and Chas and then to see The Backup Plan, which had some funny parts and was an ok movie.  Yesterday Poey, Hailey and I went garage saling in the morning - got some good deals on clothes, suitcases, a desk and a free projector with screen.  I'm so glad Poey has tonight off, hopefully he will get some much needed sleep....and I love having him here.

Hopefully tomorrow we will get some work done on our closet and my scrapbooking/desk area!

Easter 2010

Easter 2010 was such a fun, beautiful weekend!  The week before was Spring Break for the kids.  I took them to COSI on Monday and stopped at Max and Erma's on the way home.  Tuesday Poey, mom and I headed to LODI for a fun filled day of shopping!  Wednesday we went to the zoo for the day with grandma.  Thursday Brit left for youth convention and we took the rest of the kids to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner.  Friday we went shopping for the weekend and to the park.  Saturday we picked up Brit, headed to the Mount Vernon Easter Egg Hunt...the girls had a fun time.  We then headed home to look through our real and plasitc eggs.  That afternoon we colored eggs.  On Sunday morning we opened Easter baskets and went to church.  After church we headed to Mohican for an afternoon of BBQing, hiking and an Easter Egg hunt.  Overall we had a great Easter....the kids were spoiled, we enjoyed great weather - no snow this year!

Little Girls and Life

It is 9:49 on a Saturday morning.....where is my family? Mikey spent last night with Logan for Logan's birthday....Brit left this morning for a track meet.....Poey is in bed sleeping....and the little girls and me are in their room playing. They are starting to play together more and more....one is the mommy and one is the baby or they are both babies. They also fight like cats and dogs but that is to be expected, right?

They are both growing up so fast. Ashley tries to be a big help and loves to play with Hailey. Ashley also loves preschool, which is quickly coming to an end. Hailey loves to dance, say mama, tell you she loves you and gives binkie kisses (she kisses with her binkie in her mouth). They both are very sweet and loving!
